The desire for children to receive a good education, become successful, be self-reliant, and develop their careers is a legitimate aspiration of parents and also a desire of every individual. Generations born in the 1960s and 1980s still shared a common formula for success: completing 12 years of high school, then four years of university, working, and pursuing postgraduate studies. People often judge success based on a university degree and measure a child's happiness by their income, but for the 2000s generation, the story is different.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Orientation of vocational education pathways from state administrative agencies.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    With modern educational trends, today's youth have more choices for their academic and career paths. Besides the traditional 16-year education model of previous generations, there is also a new model... College 9+<\/em><\/strong> (Studying at a college immediately after graduating from junior high school) is a new and solid option, alongside the traditional choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The streaming of students after lower secondary school is being strongly implemented by localities in 2019 with the goal of allowing students who wish to pursue vocational training at colleges (referred to as the 9+ college program). This is a progressive trend in vocational education as it brings many benefits to both learners and society.\u00a0<\/span>Project \u201cCareer education and student streaming in general education during the period 2018 \u2013 2025\u201d<\/em> <\/span>According to the 2018 government decision, the target for Vietnam by 2020 is to have 301 junior high school students pursuing vocational training.\u00a0<\/span>The target is to reach 401 TP3T by 2025. However, the actual number is currently only around 81 TP3T due to various reasons, including the fact that students and parents have not yet fully grasped the advantages of this option.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2. From college directly to junior high school, students learn quickly and gain access to a professional environment early on.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The first benefit for students graduating from lower secondary school and going straight to higher education is... College<\/em><\/strong> This approach focuses on rapid learning, early exposure to the professional environment, and concentrating on essential vocational skills to enable entry into the formal job market at age 18 or earlier. Many countries around the world have successfully implemented this model, such as Singapore, Japan, and Germany. Professor Le Quan, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, stated that this program is designed based on the model of grade 9 plus general education and vocational training. In Japan, the KOSEN model, which trains students to a level equivalent to junior high school in Vietnam, has been very successful, providing valuable human resources to meet the country's economic needs. Students participating in this program can enter the labor market early and continue their education, rather than being confined to 4 or 5 years, and the time spent in school is also shortened.<\/span><\/p>\n

    3. Government support and economic benefits of choosing a 9+ College<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Next are the financial benefits and savings. According to government policy, students enrolling in this program receive tuition fee support from the government as per regulations. Furthermore, combining a college program with foundational general education in a short period of about 3 years (instead of the usual 3 years of high school followed by 2-3 years of college) will save parents a considerable amount of money.<\/span><\/p>\n

Achieving this will help them become more confident and responsible, thereby reducing the financial burden on their parents. Furthermore, a young, well-trained workforce is a crucial asset for the country's economic development.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Enter the labor market early and confidently assert yourself.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Further education is a lifelong endeavor and always open to learning. Continuing education beyond college is a right of the learner and is protected by law. Therefore, learners who have entered the workforce and wish to expand their knowledge can proactively choose the form of study at the level they desire.<\/span><\/p>\n

    College 9+<\/em><\/strong> Vocational training is a good option for students who enjoy an active learning environment. Many students find vocational training uninteresting, especially those who are less inclined to learn through theory in most high schools. Vocational training provides foundational knowledge and guides learners through practical exercises and internships, thus creating enthusiasm and dynamism for learners and helping them to develop themselves.<\/strong>. More importantly, the high creative potential of teenagers is encouraged to develop in a vocational learning environment, where each individual needs to be affirmed.\u00a0<\/span>uniqueness.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Success is an experience along the way, not a diploma.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    In other words, this training model is the shortcut for learners to acquire skills and enter the labor market sooner. The study time is condensed into just 3-4 years, after which learners obtain a college diploma and complete their knowledge program.\u00a0<\/span>parallel general education.<\/span>\u00a0The alternating and evenly distributed distribution of cultural subjects throughout vocational training will help students access knowledge in a relaxed manner, without excessive pressure or boredom. In particular, the flexibility in the training model will provide maximum convenience for learners. Specifically, learners will receive a diploma upon completion of each training stage. For example, upon completing the intermediate level training, learners will receive an intermediate diploma; if they do not wish to continue their studies, they can still start working immediately.
