NOTIFICATION 

Subject: Mandatory health insurance for students in the 2014-2015 academic year

Based on the regulations on health insurance contributions for students, document No. 2106/TB-BHXH issued by the Social Insurance Agency of Ho Chi Minh City on July 22, 2014.

Viet My College announces to all students currently studying at the college the mandatory purchase of health insurance for students for the 2014-2015 academic year as follows:

1. Insurance premium and term

– The health insurance premium for the 2014-2015 school year is regulated by the state: 290,000 VND/ 1 student (collecting payment).

– The fee for students from near-poor households, if they have not yet participated in health insurance in their locality and have confirmation from the Steering Committee for Poverty Reduction and Improvement of Living Standards (at the district level): 207,000 VND/1 student.

– For students with mandatory health insurance cards belonging to other categories: international students, relatives of individuals as stipulated by law (officers of the People's Army, conscripts, police officers, intelligence officers), students from poor or near-poor households… who have been issued mandatory health insurance cards according to government regulations, students If you did not purchase health insurance from the school, submit a photocopy of your valid insurance card to the Student Services Office.

– Validity period of health insurance card: From October 1, 2014 – September 30, 2015.

2. Insurance purchasing process

Students pay insurance fees at the Cashier's Office in installments as outlined in section 3 below.. After paying the fee, students go to the Student Services Office to register for their initial medical examination location. If a student does not register for any reason (forgetting, being busy and unable to register at the school, etc.), the Student Services Office will automatically select the hospital closest to the student's school to register them.

Note:

– For students who are exempt from purchasing insurance as mentioned above, please contact the Student Services Office to submit a photocopy of your valid insurance card to be exempted from purchasing insurance.

– Students who have paid tuition but have not yet purchased mandatory health insurance will pay the additional health insurance fee at the Cashier's office.

3. Registration and card issuance time for health insurance

The registration period for student health insurance cards is divided into 3 phases:

– Phase I: From the date of this announcement until September 22, 2014. The cards are expected to be issued after 20 working days.

– Phase II: from September 23rd to November 15th, 2014. Cards are expected to be issued after 20 working days.

– Phase III: from November 16th to December 31st, 2014. The cards are expected to be issued after 20 working days.

From January 1st, 2015, the school will no longer be held responsible for any issues arising from late payment of student health insurance premiums.

Card collection location: Student Services Office. Students should check for announcements regarding card collection times.

Note:

Students are responsible for paying mandatory health insurance fees in accordance with the law. The school requires students to strictly comply with this notice.
