The 4th season of the 2023 Hackathon has returned under the name “Solana Consumer Hack”. This season, Viet My College is honored to be the host institution in collaboration with Superteam Solona Vietnam.

Series of workshops before Hack Day
In Workshop 01, students received guidance from Mentor Bui Trung Hieu – Founder of TerraBook and Edumall.vn, who shared insights into the core principles of Blockchain, Crypto, Web3…; the operation of Blockchain from a physical and logical perspective; and the applications of Blockchain in daily life such as information security, asset management, finance, etc.

At workshop 02, mentor Phuong (Ippo) Nguyen Thai from Solana Superteam spent time sharing useful and necessary information about Backpack and Helius development tools with the students; the mentor also subtly hinted at interesting ideas to the competing teams to prepare them for Hack Day in July.

Accordingly:
- Helius: An intuitive toolset that allows you to trade quickly and easily on Solana, build an NFTs Sales Board, build an NFT & DeFi Portfolio Tracker, etc.
- Backpack: A cryptocurrency wallet designed to help users store and mint xNFT (Executable NFT) on the Solana blockchain. In addition, the Backpack wallet offers other features such as storing, sending, and receiving tokens/NFTs, messaging with friends, etc.
Just two days later, Workshop 3 also took place at Viet My College. During this event, mentor Son Ha Nguyen had an enjoyable time with the teams. He helped them understand more about Elusive and Wormholes development tools. Furthermore, he brainstormed interesting ideas with the teams to help them prepare for the official competition day.

Accordingly:
- Elusiv: A blockchain-based zero-knowledge security protocol that enables users and applications to access universal encryption. Elusiv uses zk-SNARKS for private transactions and decentralized compliance solutions, creating a symbiosis between privacy and compliance. This overcomes a central dilemma of Web3: ensuring privacy remains a human right without sacrificing security, safety, and decentralization.
- Wormhole: A project providing a message-passing protocol solution between blockchains. Currently, they support over 22 chains, including: Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Algorand, Fantom, Karura, Celo, Acala, Aptos, and Arbitrum.
The workshops provided a wealth of useful knowledge and served as a springboard to help the athletes gain more confidence before entering the official matches.

Hackathon Season 4 is a valuable platform for coders passionate about Blockchain. For students of Viet My College, participating in the competition will help them gain experience and build an impressive portfolio, making a strong impression on future employers.
