On July 17, 2018, in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet My College held a meeting, exchange, and signing of a cooperation agreement with PQC Hospitality, a major player in hospitality technology. This event further expanded the college's business cooperation roadmap and ensured that students' vocational training aligns with business standards. Simultaneously, this agreement opens up job opportunities for Viet My College students from their first year at leading companies and corporations.
PQC Hospitality is one of the leading companies operating in the field of national and international conference and event management, banquets, restaurants, and hotels, and currently owns multi-million dollar brands such as GEM Center, White Palace, The Log, and W Gourmet. The cooperation agreement between PQC Hospitality and the school aims to achieve a common goal: creating a teaching and training environment for young people that emphasizes "learning by doing," fostering professionalism and confidence to create a skilled workforce. This promises to open up many "golden" opportunities for students in hotel and restaurant management, management in general, and students of the school in particular.

The school's management team took a commemorative photo with the PQC Hospitality Human Resources Board.
Attending the signing ceremony, representing the school were: Master's Degree holder Duong Tran Minh Doan – Principal of Viet My College, Master's Degree Nguyen Van Khanh – The Head of the Management Department and the lecturers participating in teaching at the school. On the partner side, PQC Hospitality, there is Ms. Nguyen Thi Tien Phuong – The Group's Human Resources Director and representatives from various departments within your company will also be attending.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, she Nguyen Thi Tien Phuong – The Human Resources Director of PQC, with many years of experience in the Hospitality Human Resources field, understands better than anyone the aspirations and career desires of young people, the shortage of professional workers in the restaurant and hotel industry, and the area for improvement between teaching and skill development, which lies somewhere between the teaching environment, the training environment, and the students' willpower. The PQC Hospitality representative shared with the Principal after hearing the concerns that parents still have low expectations or do not highly value this profession:“It's simple: we suggest that students experience and plan for them to have the opportunity to experience Gem Lounge and Coffee Lounges in 5-star hotels with their families. When they receive 5-star service alongside their parents, and see the prestige and respect associated with 5-star service, their mindset and belief in this profession will change. Only those with sufficient sophistication can serve high-class customers. And when you become service staff, you will understand that feeling and be able to serve better. We always have many career opportunities available for talented, hardworking, passionate students who have the patience to hone their skills and take steps towards success.”.

Agreeing with the training orientation at Viet My College, and especially expecting the new generation of employees to be dynamic, serious about pursuing their careers, and possess professional skills trained to international standards, PQC Hospitality is ready to create even more opportunities for young people from Viet My College to experience and practice their professions, and to live out their chosen passions. At the end of the program, Ms. Phuong shared the following message with the APC students and other young people: ‘"At our company, there are always jobs available for those who want to work and advance in their careers. Opportunities are available in all professional positions in the hospitality industry, such as sales, marketing, human resources, customer service, kitchen, technical, graphic design, floral arrangement, etc., not just F&B service staff. We highly value vocational and college graduates because we need people who are capable and willing to work.".

During the exchange session with PQC Hospitality, many students were excited and interested in the job opportunities as well as the "very professional, very real" insights shared by the HR expert who has many years of experience in the hospitality industry. Truong Phuoc Tan, a student in the BTEC Hotel Management program, enthusiastically added: ‘"My dream of working at prestigious restaurants and hotels within the PQC Hospitality system has always been my motivation to strive every day to improve the necessary skills and knowledge of an employee. This will certainly be a valuable opportunity for us as we prepare for our internship. Each time we attend MOU events with the school's management, we students have more choices and can find businesses that suit our individual goals and passions. I will not miss the opportunity that the school has provided for us."’

Meetings between businesses and students always provide career opportunities for students of Viet My College. Sharing his expectations regarding the cooperation agreement with PQC Hospitality, Mr. Duong Tran Minh Doan, Principal of Viet My College, said, “…Expanding cooperation with businesses and inviting business experts to participate in the school's training programs, aiming to ensure that graduates meet the needs of businesses, is our long-term goal. Personally, my goal is for our students to come to school and work always dressed in the most beautiful and professional attire in the hospitality industry. Every step, every smile, every glance should reflect meticulousness, class, and pride in their profession. We hope that one day, when people think of personnel for the hospitality industry, they will immediately think of Viet My, just as currently, when people think of high-class conference centers for important events, they think of Gem Center...."”
