To enhance practical skills and provide Hotel and Restaurant Management students with a clearer understanding of their future careers, the BTEC program management board of Viet My College, in collaboration with enthusiastic lecturers, organized an internship program at California Yoga and Fitness Center on January 20th. The trip was attended by over 30 Hotel and Restaurant Management students.
As one of Vietnam's leading fitness and yoga centers, California Yoga and Fitness makes a strong first impression on visitors with its modern and advanced facilities, along with the highly professional service of its staff. Just a small detail—that the reception staff are responsible for remembering the names of all customers—compared to the approximately 1500 customers who visit the center daily, provided the Vietnamese-American students with valuable lessons about the importance of customer service in the Hospitality Management industry.
During the visit, the students also directly experienced the quality of training at California Yoga and Fitness by participating in a body combat class led by a professional trainer. In addition, the students were able to experience the modern exercise equipment and facilities firsthand. Everyone felt very enthusiastic about the physical activity.
Immediately afterwards, the students had a meeting and interaction with representatives from the center's management. The managers of California Yoga and Fitness shared candidly about career paths and employment opportunities. Simultaneously, the students were divided into small groups to exchange ideas and ask questions directly to the managers. California Yoga and Fitness also stated that students from Viet My College could apply for part-time positions at the center to gain experience and learn.
Through close collaboration with business partners, the BTEC program management team at Viet My College aims to provide students with the best possible access to real-world work environments and future career opportunities.
