KKR is a US-based global investment company, one of the world's largest private equity firms with 33 offices worldwide and estimated total assets of approximately $470 billion. Currently, KKR has invested over $1.5 billion in Vietnam, with education being a particularly important area of focus for the KKR group.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership, Mr. David Petraeus, co-owner and chairman of the Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) Global Institute, is visiting Vietnam to further strengthen KKR's special interest in Vietnam. .
In the education sector, KKR has invested in EQuest Education Group to develop areas such as general education, higher education, and educational technology. KKR places particular emphasis on developing education and the workforce, aligning with the Foundation's commitment to supporting "Lifelong Learning.".

With the backing and investment of KKR, EQuest aims to build a sustainable, high-quality, and humane future of education through commitments to environmental, social, and governance (ESG). One of EQuest's prominent ESG projects is the iLINK project (an English language learning program through mathematics and science from iSMART Education, with digital lessons built according to the Ministry of Education and Training's curriculum framework) using a blended in-person and online format.
The program is currently being implemented very successfully in the mountainous district of Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai province) in the form of a 5-year free sponsorship. In the first year alone, nearly 4,000 students participated in the program, and it is expected that tens of thousands more students will benefit from the project.
After one year of implementation, in Mu Cang Chai district, 2,564 students completed the English-language science program, accounting for 69.61% of participating students, while 2,853 students (77.61% of participating students) excelled in the English-language mathematics program. This demonstrates a significant improvement in students' English skills in Mu Cang Chai as well as the positive impact of the project.

Mr. Dam Quang Minh (Deputy General Director of EQuest Group) stated: “EQuest is committed to partnering with KKR to develop sustainable education in Vietnam through ESG projects. We believe these efforts will spread positive values, benefiting students and education in Vietnam as a whole.”
Currently, EQuest and its member units are implementing other community projects such as: reducing waste and emissions, increasing green spaces inside and outside school grounds with the Green School project; caring for the mental health of students, parents, teachers and school staff with the School of Well-being project; building bridges and schools in difficult mountainous areas; and sponsoring scholarships for students with special circumstances.
EQuest member schools such as the Canadian International School, Hanoi Star Education System, Newton, Alpha, Phu Xuan University, and Viet My College are making significant contributions to local education…
