On the morning of September 7th, 2024, at the Metropole Convention & Wedding Center, the Orientation Ceremony welcoming new students of the 24th cohort for the 2024-2025 academic year took place in a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere. The event was attended by the Board of Directors, faculty members, guests from various businesses, and most importantly, nearly 400 new students eager to embark on a new journey at Viet My College.
From 8 a.m. onwards, the new students were present in the conference hall, where they were warmly and thoughtfully welcomed by the Organizing Committee. Handshakes and radiant smiles from the teachers and staff created a friendly atmosphere, helping the students quickly integrate into their new environment.
The official opening ceremony began with a cheerful and energetic song performed by students from the VME Music Club, followed by heartfelt sharing from the teachers, which helped the students better understand the value of learning and the opportunities the school offers.

In particular, the speeches from the representative of Equest Group – Mr. David Armstrong and the Vice Principal of Viet My College – conveyed meaningful messages, encouraging the students' spirit of learning and dedication. Stories of the success journeys of alumni and sincere advice provided great motivation for the new students as they embarked on the new academic year.
Following the speeches, the opening ceremony took place solemnly with official declarations marking the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. The enthusiastic applause from all the students, faculty, and guests created a memorable moment, signifying the beginning of a new journey.

Continuing the program, the Board of Directors proceeded to award scholarships named "Lighting Up Talent" to students with outstanding academic achievements and the highest GPA in each faculty. These scholarships are not only a reward for the students' efforts but also a source of encouragement for them to continue striving and excelling in their studies.

Beyond the formal ceremonies, the event also provided new students with useful information about the academic program and faculty activities. The lecturers presented detailed information about academic regulations, effective study methods, and research and internship opportunities at partner companies. One of the highlights of the orientation session was the career guidance sharing from representatives of various businesses. The school invited guest speakers from major companies such as: Ms. Ngo Thi Oanh Vu – Head of Human Resources Partnership, Genetics and Farm Division, DeHues Co., Ltd.; Mr. Tran Khanh Tam – Human Resources Supervisor, The Reverie Saigon; Mr. Nguyen Trieu Duong Quang – Head of Talent Acquisition, FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.. This is a rare opportunity for new students to listen to practical experiences from experts, grasp career trends and the demands of the labor market. Useful advice on building skills and a professional work attitude has helped students better define their career paths.
Besides in-depth discussions about academics and careers, students also participate in vibrant student activities, from learning about clubs to engaging in fun mini-games. This is an opportunity for them to connect with new friends, discover their passions, and begin building their network from their very first days at university.
