On the afternoon of July 28th, the seminar took place. “Thriving in the future workplace” The event was successfully held with over 80 students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages attending at the Trung Son campus of Viet My College.

- Ms. Vu Thi Mai Phuong – Vice Director – Wineshop.vn

Four guest representatives from businesses
During the conversation, representatives shared their personal experiences about the "job application journey" as well as their valuable experiences in their respective fields, especially in human resources.
Ms. Vo Thanh Thao – Department Head, English Department Head – Saigontourist Hospitality College shared: “To get a satisfying job, the first thing is to improve yourself. Like an iceberg, the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom are only the surface; but what is hidden beneath the surface? This is what differentiates candidates from one another, requiring us to strive to learn more in-depth knowledge, social knowledge, life skills, and especially cultivate a positive attitude so that the hidden part of the iceberg becomes larger and deeper, and that is what employers look for.”

Besides the presentations from the representatives, the students also shared their concerns about the job market, the difficulties they are facing, and asked about solutions to overcome those challenges.

Hopefully, through the seminar "Thriving in the Future Workplace," Vietnamese-American students will gain valuable lessons and a different perspective on the current job market. From there, students can build the right path to overcome difficulties and challenges when entering the workforce.
