On July 1st, 2023, the event "Cultural Rendezvous – Colors of the World" took place with the enthusiastic participation of students, especially those studying Foreign Languages at Viet My College.

With the aim of creating a "learn while playing" activity for students, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a multicultural festival with the theme "Cultural Rendezvous – Colors of the World". At the event, students could interact and learn languages such as English, Korean, and Japanese with lecturers and native students in three main areas.

The #1 Cultural Destination – The Land of Kimchi – South Korea
When visiting the "Land of Kimchi," students get to experience a wide range of activities such as:
- Writing names in Korean: Students will read out their names, and Korean students will write them down, cut them out, and make them into brooches or hair clips.
- Paper folding crafts: Students will learn how to fold and decorate paper into hand fans featuring the Korean flag.
- Wearing Korean traditional clothing: Students choose their favorite colors, receive instructions on how to wear it, and take check-in photos.

Cultural Rendezvous #2 – The Land of the Rising Sun – Japan
Beyond its stunning natural beauty, Japan also captivates visitors with its unique and diverse culture. Tea ceremony, samurai spirit, signature dishes like sushi and sashimi, and traditional kimono attire are all must-see experiences when visiting Japan. At the event, these distinctive features were encapsulated in a trivia game, offering players interesting and novel knowledge. Furthermore, at this Japanese cultural event, students had the opportunity to experience wearing traditional Japanese clothing, showcasing a style that appears simple yet is actually quite elaborate.

Cultural Destination #3 – The Land of Fog – United Kingdom
Unlike the bustling atmosphere at the Korean and Japanese venues, the British space is likened to a miniature "art museum," meticulously displayed and decorated in a "vintage" style.

The lively atmosphere of the event stemmed not only from the meticulously and beautifully decorated cultural spaces but also from the distinctive food and drinks of the British, Korean, and Japanese destinations. In addition, students had the opportunity to socialize and make friends with local students and lecturers, thereby improving their foreign language communication skills.

Let's take a look back at some photos from the event!
