On March 9th, students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Viet My College participated in the competition.“Outstanding vocational students of 2023” This competition is jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City. It is an annual competition organized by the Youth Union to encourage a spirit of learning and improve practical professional skills for students in all fields from vocational schools and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City, including students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Viet My College.
This year's competition features several innovations in its organization, such as: dividing participants into teams; and the target participants: Category A for students who have graduated from junior high school (grades 9+), and Category B for university students who have graduated from high school (grades 12+). A highlight of the competition is...“Excellent students profession” This year, the English communication skills test was a key component. The contestants in general, and students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Viet My College in particular, were very confident in communicating and sharing their career aspirations and future goals in English. Tran Chon, a student from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Viet My College, shared:“This year's English exam was manageable, not too difficult. Throughout our time at school, we studied five foreign language modules and had workshops with native English-speaking teachers, so we didn't feel too much pressure when we entered the exam room.”.
The 14th "Outstanding Vocational Students" competition is also an opportunity for future medical staff to hone their professional demeanor, skills, and attitude, becoming exemplary role models in the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector. The efforts of the students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Viet My College during the competition have contributed to enhancing the school's image in training medical and pharmaceutical human resources for the country.
The awards ceremony for the "Outstanding Vocational Students" competition in 2023 is expected to take place in April at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Employment Service Center.
