For recent graduates, good communication skills will help them find jobs more easily, expand their career opportunities, and boost their work performance afterward.
Make friends with sociable people.
It's difficult for a shy person to change from a withdrawn, introverted habit to proactively building relationships, as you often see in job requirements on recruitment websites. This isn't something that happens overnight, so you need some positive external influences.

Start by actively maintaining relationships with close friends who are dynamic and outgoing. They will introduce you to new connections and share many helpful experiences, helping you gradually overcome psychological barriers. From there, you will gradually improve your communication and networking skills.
Always think positively.
When starting a new relationship, you probably have many negative thoughts in your mind, such as: they don't like me, I don't know what to say, I often say the wrong things... In reality, building a new relationship is never easy, and it's even more difficult if you are an introvert or shy person.

But instead of constantly hesitating, overthinking, and wasting time, you should think about positive, optimistic things. Perhaps you're not intelligent, but you're kind; you're not outgoing, but you're sincere and a good listener… Remember that everyone has their own unique value, and there's something others can learn from them. You should also consider the benefits of a wide network of relationships and the joy of sharing… Positive thoughts will become the motivation that helps you confidently initiate conversations and communicate openly with others.
Use the "solo attack" tactic.“
You don't necessarily need to join large groups or attend lively events. If you're an introvert, crowded places can make you feel out of place and much harder to talk to. Instead, you can choose a smaller group (ideally with people you know), use a "go it alone" strategy, and strike up conversations with a few people you feel most comfortable with.

Don't think you're the only shy person; there are many others like you. Observe from a distance and wait for the right opportunity to strike up a conversation. Prepare a few questions beforehand to avoid awkwardness when starting a conversation, and don't try to "pull strings" if the other person seems indifferent or annoyed.
Use social networks
Social media has gradually become an indispensable activity for the vast majority of young people today, and most of us use at least one online account. Despite its negative aspects, the ability of social media to connect people and provide useful information is undeniable.
Therefore, you can leverage social media to start practicing your networking skills. However, you need to be selective to avoid wasting time, and you should start with successful individuals in your field, or acquaintances of colleagues. After a period of contact, you can feel more confident in arranging a meeting.
Join your favorite groups.
We are often more proactive in expressing ourselves and are attracted to people who share our passions and interests. Therefore, you will be more proactive when joining groups with many people on the same "wavelength." This not only helps you enjoy life more but also find like-minded friends.

Additionally, you should also take the time to participate in professional development courses. In an open learning environment, you can easily build relationships with other students and teachers. This will greatly support your career path later on.
Volunteer
Participating in volunteer activities not only helps you use your time effectively but also contributes to the benefit of the community. If you are a shy person who has difficulty proactively approaching others, participating in social activities will give you the opportunity to make friends and have comfortable conversations with people.
You can choose programs that help disadvantaged people, promote the green environment, or other similar social projects. You should also proactively participate in extracurricular activities, sports, and arts within the organization. These events will help you build new relationships and give you a chance to impress the group.
