INTRODUCE

According to market research firms, the pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam is experiencing strong growth, both in revenue and consumer demand. According to IBM, the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market was worth approximately US$4.7 billion (equivalent to over VND 105,500 billion) in 2017. The firm forecasts that the market size will reach US$7.7 billion (over VND 184,500 billion) by 2021 and US$16.1 billion (over VND 289,000 billion) by 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 11% in Vietnamese Dong.

Accordingly, the projected demand for pharmaceutical personnel in Vietnam by 2020 will require an additional 25,000 pharmacists. Furthermore, the current workforce in Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry faces many limitations, particularly in foreign language skills and professional expertise.
