On November 31, 2023, as part of the Vocational Education Development Project in Vietnam – Vietnam-Denmark Cooperation Phase II (VDV), the project organized a stakeholder workshop to share the results of two recent policy dialogues in Denmark. The Graphic Design department of Viet My College was honored to participate and contribute ideas and insights on general issues concerning vocational education and training, aiming to inspire continuous policy development within Vietnam's vocational education and training system.

The delegation from Viet My College included the following representatives: Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh – Head of the Examination and Quality Assurance Department, Mr. Phan Thanh Son – Deputy Head of the Design Faculty, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lien and Mr. Nguyen Le Cao Binh – Representatives from the business sector.
At the third and final Vocational Education Development Policy Dialogue Conference, delegates continued to exchange views on vocational education and training (VET), as well as synthesize solutions and ideas on important issues related to training quality control, green transformation, digitalization, and policies promoting cooperation between universities and businesses. The focus of the Dialogue was on “Training Implementation and Quality Assurance,” specifically regarding the use of data and statistics in education, and quality assurance measures at the system and local levels.

In collaboration with industry experts from Vietnam and Denmark, representatives from 12 colleges in Vietnam, local businesses, and international partners discussed and explored solutions to issues such as: What skills will we need to build a green and digitized society in the future? What do we need to do to ensure that vocational education continues to drive the development of individuals and professions?
On behalf of Viet My College, Ms. Le Thi Phuong Lien contributed her opinions on collecting and processing quality education data at the national level in Vietnam. She suggested changing the information collection method to ensure consistency among stakeholders, and standardizing the system to promote proactiveness and connectivity, thereby inheriting and developing resources. Mr. Phan Thanh Son also expressed his views on the topic of policy incentives for schools and businesses, suggesting that preferential treatment should be given to vocational education in Vietnam to increase connectivity and accountability among parties in the training process, as well as the digitization of learning materials, teaching processes, and school management to strengthen cooperation between businesses and vocational education, with a focus on green, sustainable, and digital transformation.

The exchange of ideas and experiences between experts from both countries will inspire the development of future vocational education policies in Vietnam. It will also prepare for the upcoming concluding conference in December, marking the end of Phase II of the Project.
